Description
Our Caffiend Bar Soap is what happens when you refuse to waste a single gram in the workshop. Offcuts and miscuts from our other bars get grated down, mixed with a fresh batch of skin-loving oils and a handful of coffee grounds, and turned into something genuinely brilliant. The scent is one of those happy accidents.
Peppermint, Patchouli, Tea Tree and Lavender. It has no business working as well as it does.
Handcrafted in small batches in our Wairarapa workshop using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Please note: the current batch of Caffiend includes Babassu Oil, left over from another project. When this batch needs replacing, Caffiend will be created with one of our other Naturally Luxurious soap recipes.
What is in it
Babassu Oil (limited edition): A light, quick-lathering oil that whips up generous bubbles while it cleanses. Softens and conditions without leaving skin feeling stripped.
Wairarapa Virgin Olive Oil: Pressed just down the road from us. The backbone of a good, gentle bar, soothing and hydrating, with a creamy lather that lasts.
Rice Bran Oil: A quietly hardworking, skin-softening oil rich in vitamin E. Adds a silky feel to the lather and helps calm and condition the skin.
Castor Oil: A little goes a long way. Nourishes the skin and boosts the lather into long-lasting, stable bubbles.
Water and Lye: Essentials when making soap. The lye is fully converted in the process; none remains in your finished bar.
Cosmetic Clays: A blend of kaolin, illite and bentonite. They add slip and a silky quality to the lather, and the natural minerals lend the bar some of its earthy character.
Plant Infusions: This is where Caffiend’s zero-waste heart shows. Annatto, indigo, Himalayan rhubarb, chamomile, calendula, raw cacao, coffee and corn silk all find their way in, much of it carried over from the offcuts and trimmings of our other bars. The coffee also gives a gentle scrub, and the rest bring natural colour and a bit of skin-loving goodness along for the ride.
Essential oils of Peppermint, Patchouli, Tea Tree and Lavender give Caffiend its scent.
