Our Coalface bar soap is specifically designed for problem skin. One of the 1st soaps that we started making, our Coalface bar was developed to help our teenage daughter who has naturally oily skin. The combined physical stresses of growing and playing several intensely active sports meant breakouts were common. Regular use of this soap helped to manage and reduce these. 8 years later Coalface is still one of our best-selling soaps.

Activated Charcoal is one of those fantastic ingredients that helps to reduce excess oil. We also add Black Clay to provide extra cleansing and skin detoxification. The addition of Hemp Seed oil helps to balance and nourish the skin after cleansing.
Known as a natural acne alternative treatment, Activated Charcoal is good on both sensitive and irritated skin – this bar is ideal for all skin types and is suitable for use on both the face and body.
Scented with Tea Tree and Litsea Cubeba (May Chang) essential oils which are known to assist with skin health.

Our handmade soap is made in small batches in our workshop in the heart of Wairarapa, NZ, using local Olive Oil and natural ingredients.

Ingredients: Martinborough Virgin Olive Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Hemp Oil, Activated Charcoal, Black Clay, Salt, Corn Silk, Tea Tree, and Litsea Cubeba (May Chang) essential oils.
